Chesapeake Bay Striped Bass Fishing - September 2012
Check out the picture in this post! This is what the striper fishing on the Chesapeake Bay has been like this September. We've been steadily catching legal limits of rockfish on the Bay. These fish have been ranging mostly between 18 and 24 inches in length. We've also been catching bluefish mixed in that range between 1 and 5 pounds. We've been doing this with a combination of live bait and light tackle.
We expect this fishing to continue for at least the next 2-3 weeks. After that, we will probably be trolling again, and hopefully in November, we'll start seeing some of the bigger fish!
