Bluefish and Stripers on Maryland's Chesapeake Bay - October 1, 2009

We left Hoopers Island at around 2:00 this afternoon with a group of eight. We got out to our spot soon after, and started catching fish right away. Within just a couple of hours, we caught about four dozen bluefish and about a half dozen of stripers! By this point, they decided they had caught enough. We're still catching these fish with light tackle and live bait. The bluefish were all between 1 and 3 pounds, and the stripers were pretty healthy, ranging between 20 and 26 inches in length.

We still have plenty of open dates for October through December to catch some of these fish. To reserve your date, visit or call us at (410) 397-3743!
