Croaker Fishing on Maryland's Chesapeake Bay - June 20, 2009

What in the world's in that picture above, you ask? That's a 160-quart cooler full of croakers, caught on Maryland's Chesapeake Bay! The weatherman was calling for awful weather conditions on the Chesapeake Bay, but like so often, he was wrong! It was a beautiful night. The fishing was slow starting out, catching a croaker here and there. We did some trolling for bluefish, which have started to make their way up the Chesapeake Bay. There was about 25-30 of those in the cooler too. But when that sun hit the trees, the croaker fishing took off! We caught about 150 within an hour! Our customers left very happy, and we look forward to seeing them again.
