More Chesapeake Bay Fishing for Maryland Rockfish - May 10, 2009

Boy, what a day today was! The weather at the start was awful, with heavy winds almost straight out of the north on the Chesapeake Bay. We had an ebb current that was screaming down the Bay as well. This made things rather difficult. However, when going across the current, we caught four beautiful Chesapeake Bay Striped Bass within the first hour of fishing! Then, after the wind fell out and the current continued to strengthen, there was a lull in the fishing action. However, we waited them out, and within a two hour period, we had our limit of Maryland rockfish. Check out the picture below to see what we came up with.

Some of these fish were over 40 inches long! This is the first time that these guys came down to see us. They have already arranged to see us again, and we can't wait! We still have May 14 available for anyone who wants to try out these massive stripers! For more information, get on over to http://www.sawyercharters.com/!

You're dismissed!
